BLAINE 8TH GRADERS WIN AT REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR

Congratulation to Giselle M. and Amanda D. who participated in the CPS Regional Science Fair last Friday and both received an “Outstanding” award for their respective projects “Electromagnetism Express” and “The Sound of Silence”.  Giselle was determined to know if the rate of conductivity of a metal affected the speed of an electromagnet through a coiled version of that metal. Amanda’s work was about acoustic and soundproofing. She wanted to find out which material would be most effective when attempting to soundproof a chamber.  Both 8th Graders are advancing to the City Science Fair at The Museum of Science and Industry in March. WELL DONE!
