FORWARD MOMENTUM (Grades 1st through 4th), FRIDAY, MAY 19TH, STARTING AT 8:30AM

Each year, our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders create a performance linked to a content area standard, and with the expertise of choreographers from Forward Momentum, they make learning come alive with movement and dance. The following are this year’s topics for each grade level:

  • 1st Grade – “Life: Then and Now. Exploring Past and Present”
  • 2nd Grade – “Character Traits of Historic Figures”
  • 3rd Grade – “Empathy and Teamwork”
  • 4th Grade – “Regions of the United States of America”

Parents are invited to attend these performances on May 19th in the Blaine Auditorium. Please keep in mind that students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade perform with their language arts groups. If you have questions, about your child’s performance date and/or time, please contact his/her teacher. We ask that parents plan to attend the entire 30 minute block so as to not disrupt the flow of the performance. We also ask that audience members keep the aisles clear so that students can enter and exit and perform in the aisles.
